How does an instructor become a Training Faculty?
It’s an appointed position by the TSC or TCC which allows instructors to teach others to become an instructor and/or renew existing instructors.
Where do you get skills testing checklists, rosters, and paperwork?
It can be found either in your instructor manual or on the AHA Atlas.
What is the PAM?
The Program Administrative Manual found in the AHA Atlas.
TCs have agreements with the AHA about where, geographically, they can offer classes. What is Vitali Partner’s agreement?

What are the steps for administering exams?
Exams need to be requested from your TSC or TCC. Exams are to be secured at all times. All exam packets and student’s answer sheets need to be collected back at the end of class.

What is the AHA’s requirement about feedback devices?
You must have a device that gives visual or audible feedback on rate and depth of compression for Adult manikins only.

What is the Student to manikin ratio?
1 manikin to 3 students.
What is the AHA student to instructor ratio?
1 instructor to 9 students.
Is my AHA Certification valid in all 50 states?
Yes, your AHA provider or AHA instructor certification is valid in all 50 states regardless of what state you were certified in.
Can an instructor teach classes in their personal residence?
No
How long does an instructor have to retain rosters for?
You must retain for 3 years.
