  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a life-saving technique used to maintain blood flow to the heart and brain when a person's heart has stopped beating. 
  • An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a portable medical device that can analyze the heart's rhythm and deliver an electric shock if necessary to restore a normal heartbeat.
